This morning I woke up at 7am, suddenly had this great game idea. I slept at about 4.20am after driving 10 hours back from Wuhan to Shanghai. I tried forcing myself back to dreamland but I just couldn't as the game keep popping up in my mind.
I knew I had to get up and research the idea. The first thing I did was send an SMS to my partner to tell him I had this great game idea. Then I put on the research mind and drove my mind to imagine how the game would be played ? What characters should there be in the game ? Was it fun ?
Basically I was putting 2 of my favourite casual games together and blending them to create a new game concept. Nothing super innovative but the more I think of it the more fun I think it can be ...
Then I spend the whole day on my iPad and my laptop googling and searching for similar ideas that's already available as I need to test the concept. After 8 hours of search I noticed there was 2 games near this idea and 1 was already doing exceptionally well and the other was bought by a big game publisher pending release.
